Santa Clara, CA - June 25, 2010 -- Quadbase Systems Inc., a leading supplier of web-based BI (business intelligence) data visualization and information delivery/presentation solutions, today announced support of Apple's iPad and iPhone for EspressDashboard and EspressReport ES version 6.2 users.
EspressDashboard is a web-based enterprise business intelligence (BI) dashboard delivery/publishing system. It allows users to easily query key performance data, develop charts, reports, maps and incorporate them into self-service dashboards for immediate web-based publishing without programming.
EspressReport ES is an enterprise BI/operational reporting application that allows users to easily create, publish, and schedule reports and charts without programming. With strong support for KPI dashboards, ad hoc reporting/querying, Google and SVG maps, end-to-end role-based security model, and high scalability, EspressReport ES is ideal for organizations that need to implement a web based enterprise all-in-one reporting system for decision support, performance monitoring/analysis, performance management and control. Built on top of EspressReport and EspressChart, EspressReport ES is highly scalable and delivers superior performance.
Due to strong support for the Safari browser, mobile users can now view dashboards, reports, charts and maps on iPhone, iPad Wi-Fi and iPad 3G. Interactions with the dashboard are via shared/global parameters and unlimited drill-downs. Users can drill-down to reports, charts, maps as well as to another dashboard to see details of summary data or discover root cause of problems. EspressReport ES users can view reports, charts, maps and dashboards via generated URLs and the menu page. As such, reports, charts, maps and dashboards created by developers are automatically available for publishing to iPad/iPhone users as well as desktop users. Needless to say, the main benefit for mobile users is that the key performance indicators and critical information are available immediately for the users to take action anytime, anywhere on-the-go .

Dashboards and Reports can draw data from any data source including JDBC/ODBC compliant databases, JNDI data sources, data warehouses, WSDL SOAP, Salesforce SOAP, text files, XML files, Excel Spreadsheets, Java class files and EJBs. Data can be from applications such as ERP, CRM, sales/marketing, security management, portfolio management and so forth. Salesforce users can view dashboards provided by Quadbase on iPhone and iPad.
EspressDashboard and EspressReport ES can scale to thousands of users especially with the load balance and clustering architecture. The architecture provides one of the most comprehensive security/privilege models on the market. Role based secure data filtering can be applied for all reports and charts providing complete security. The right data is delivered securely to the right users at the right time.
The products are written in pure Java and run on all platforms that support Java. All major Application Servers such as WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic App Server, JBoss, GlassFish, Tomcat are supported.
