EspressDashboard is a web-based enterprise business intelligence (BI) dashboard delivery/publishing system. It allows users
to easily query key performance data, develop charts, reports, maps and incorporate them into self-service dashboards for
immediate web-based publishing without programming.
It can draw data from any data source including JDBC/ODBC compliant databases, JNDI data sources, data warehouses, WSDL SOAP,
SalesForce SOAP, text files, XML files, Excel Spreadsheets, Java class files and EJBs. Data can be from applications such as
ERP, CRM, sales/marketing, security management, portfolio management and so forth. In a nutshell, users can use
EspressDashboard to visualize, monitor and take control of the business performance of any department of their organization
without ever having to take another shot in the dark.
EspressDashboard is easy to use. It is designed for non-programmers, and for rapid design and deployment. There is no script
or code to write. Charts, reports and maps are created visually. They can then be assembled into a panel through an intuitive
point-and-click, drag-and-drop thin client interface to make an actionable KPI dashboard for immediate deployment to end users.
EspressDashboard is designed for web based enterprise deployment. Built on top of EspressReport, the report and chart engine is
optimized for performance. It can scale to thousands of users especially with the load balance and clustering architecture.
It provides one of the most comprehensive security/privilege models on the market. Role based secure data filtering can be applied for all reports and charts providing complete security. The right data is delivered securely to the right users at the right time.
The dashboard supports shared parameters, unlimited drill-down, drill-across, concept of folders, real time refresh, and slide show. There are over 30 2D/3D chart types. 3D charts are true 3D, allowing real-time pan/zoom, rotation, and light source modification. 3D Pie and Doughnut charts are rendered realistically smooth. Report types include tabular reports with or without grouping. Charts and titles can be included in a report as well. Charts in dashboard can also be displayed as animated Flash adding a modern flare to the overall presentation.
The product is written in pure Java and run on all platforms that support Java. All commercial Application Servers such as
WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic App Server, JBOSS, GlassFish, Tomcat are supported.
